What is Freight Collect?
Freight Collect is when your furniture item is shipped directly form the artisan to you using a freight company. This means that you pay shipping and handling charges to the freight company upon your receipt of the item. Thus, shipping and handling charges will not be applied to your order at the time of checkout and will not appear in you shopping carriage.
How Much Does Freight Collect Cost?
Since TippyToes does not collect the shipping and handling charge directly from you, we cannot provide an exact shipping cost at the time you place your order. However, the average cost for freight collect is between 10 to 15 percent of the item’s cost. The freight company will contact you for a delivery date/time that is convenient for you along with the actual cost of delivery. If you are unable to schedule a delivery date with the freight company within ten (10) days or you miss your appointment, a rescheduling and storage fee would be applied to your total shipping and handling charges.
Do You Ship Items Outside the 48 Contiguous States? Are There Any Additional Charges?
Yes, in most cases. However, please contact a member of our Customer Care Team at (888) 4-TIPPYTOES (847798) Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time to assure that delivery is available to your area. If delivery is available, a customer care representative will advise you of any and all additional shipping and handling fees.
